We had a small get-together at my house with some of my skating friends because Pascale and I are going away to university. It was really cool because I hadn't seen Lindsey and Meghan (they're sisters) in such a long time! Really good day. (:

day 09 - something you’re proud of in the past few days

I know, I missed a day…sorry!!

I’m proud of how organized I have been in my new house. Usually I would clean my room, and like two days later it would be a complete mess again; but since I’ve moved I’ve been keeping my room really clean and organized…even my closet is organized! :o haha. 

I’m also proud of how I’ve handled moving in general. So far, I’ve only cried once, and that was because we drove by my house and I saw that they have basically torn apart my backyard to renovate…yeah. Anywho, I’ve really tried to be positive and so far I’ve managed.

Lastly, I’m proud of how excited I am for university. I know that sounds weird, but I was really really nervous for some time. At some point, I even wondered if I should be going to university yet - if I’m ready - but now I know in my heart that I am. That sounds so corny…oh my gosh, so corny, but it’s the truth. So yeah, I’m proud of that too.

feeling outdoorsy?

As I am approaching my last week at home, I'm trying to find more ways to enjoy my new house before having to leave. So today I sat outside with my doggy for awhile, and I decided to take some pictures after I noticed how pretty the sky was. Just a few small clouds, and the rest is a beautiful blue. (: So yeah.

day 08 - short term goals for this month and why

It’s already like the end of August, so these goals will be for September…

• Handle moving to university without any tears and without getting homesick
• Make many new friends who I will surely have in my life for a long time
• Don’t change yourself for anyone at university
• Keep up with my reading and assignments in classes
• Make myself stand out as a good student to professors and DAs
• Don’t go home until the end of the month
• Don’t get sick…seriously, don’t
• Do not go shopping for clothes…well, that’s mean. You can “shop” but don’t “buy”
• Keep in contact with friends and family at home and elsewhere!

Yeah, so that’s all I can think of right now, and they all pretty much have to do with university because that’s where I’ll be after September 4th.

This is my future home...I know, you're jealous right? Haha.

day 07 - a picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

My siberian husky, Nala, has had the biggest impact on my life because I've had her since I was only 4 years old (which is over 14 years if you were wondering). I can't even look at her without smiling and whenever I'm sad or crying, she's always the first one to make me feel better. That probably sounds ridiculous, but it's true. If I cry, or if I'm just feeling really depressed, she somehow always find me and lets me lay my head on her. It's the sweetest thing ever. When I was little, I used to ask for "my Nala" when I cried, so maybe that's why she does it. I don't know, but either way. I love her more than anything on this planet. I can't imagine my life without her, and that's why I get terrified whenever I think of her age, or of her having any health problems. It's the scariest thing ever.

So anyways, above is one of thousands of pictures I have of Nala. This one is from last Christmas when we gave Nala her Christmas gifts.... which were two boxes of Milk-Bones. Those have always been her favourite. Haha.

MY UNIVERSITY COURSE TIMETABLE!

Okay, the moment you've all been waiting for... or maybe it's only been me who's been waiting, but I do not care. My university course timetable has been posted!!

This is my fall semester schedule, but it is identical to my winter semester, so yeah. Also, there are two pictures because my Wednesday classes continues onto another page (the second picture).

So basically, I'm pretty happy with the overall schedule. The only part that sucks is that I have 5 classes on Wednesday, which is pretty gross, but I'll survive. At least I only have one early class, and my latest class ends at 5:30, which is really good. (:

day 06 - favorite super hero and why

Soo, I'm gunna change up my favourite super hero from my Tumblr. I said on there that my favourite super hero is Woody from Toy Story, but I also absolutely love his partner-in-crime: BUZZ LIGHTYEAR! Yes people, my life does revolve around Disney and Pixar films and I do not care what people may think about that. Oh and by the way, Spanish Buzz, from Toy Story 3, is definitely my favourite Buzz of all-time. He's so sophisticated and charismatic, but at the same time, he's an astronaut. I just think it's the funniest thing ever.

day 04 - a habit that you wish you didn’t have

I have this bad habit of picking at my nails to the point where there is no nail left, and I've got major hangnails. I know, gross right? Well, that's why it is a habit I wish I didn't have. It's like I'm in major need of a manicure on an almost-constant basis.

I also have this habit where I make a sarcastic joke online, so I like type it. The problem with doing that is that sometimes people can't tell that you're being sarcastic through typing, so they get offended or think that I'm really mean or something. It's a problem. Not really a habit I guess, but my personality is just full of sarcasm waiting to be freed! Haha.

I wish my hands could be this pretty.

The title of my blog is, "freshman fables" quite simply because I am officially a university freshman, and as I go through new experiences, I'll be sure to run into some humorous events, or in other words, fables.
